The purpose of the building is to create a commercial space to share office spaces and retail areas, with a design that promises the history of this listed buiding to be preserved. Whilst making safe alterations to retain the facades, including replacement shopfronts, provision of plants and associated works. The Portman estate wanted to collaborate with GallifordTry, the main contractor to design and refurbish a new layout and spatial organisation for commercial use.
